THE FOUNDATION STAGE CURRICULUM IS BROKEN
DOWN INTO THE FOLLOWING 6 AREAS OF LEARNING
Knowledge and understanding of the world
Creative Development
Physical Development
Mathematical Development
Communication, Language and Literacy
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Activities are planned in order to inegrate with the above areas of learning. Children
under the age of 3 are assessed on the Birth to Three Matters framework which we aim to use in order to provide a foundation
for children through play and experiences.
Children over the age of 3 are assessed on the Foundation Stage stepping stones and
our aim in using the foundation stage is to educate children in an environment where learning is planned and structured with
an emphasis on fun, relevant and motivating activities.
